Fashion Friday: Toke Makinwa, Mawuli Gavor, Diane Russet stun on Instagram this week

It’s another Fashion Friday, and since last week was full of events, you know that today’s episode is about to be lit.

While last week’s looks were colourful and loud, featuring at least one person rocking Beyonce’s Ivy Park collection, this week features glam and polished looks that we can’t wait to share with you.

There’s also a Lambo in a Lambo and she is totally a mood this week.

1. Toke Makinwa:

If you guessed that this Toke Makinwa dress is a stunning recreation of Jennifer Lopez’s iconic 2000 Grammy dress, then you guessed right.

She stepped out for Moet and Chandon’s A Night With the Stars event looking like a bag of money while carrying a purse that looks like money.

She went for simple hair and accessories, choosing to let the dress speak for itself, and we can definitely hear everything it is saying.

2. Denola Grey:

Denola Grey always looks amazing, but in this photoshoot with talented photographer, Kashope, he looks out of this world.

The actor is dressed in a pinstripe suit and a red bow tie, carrying a magazine from 1965 and looking like he stepped out of a time machine.

The place for the shoot according to his caption is: “front porch of Jaekel House featuring a socio-political zine “Nigeria Magazine” from 1965.”

3. Diane Russet:

Diane Russet is really proving her style to be sexy and understated, and can we just say that she is killing it.

One of her posts this past week was so gorgeous, some of the goodness spilt over to Twitter as her fans (and us) thought the picture looked amazing.

It’s no secret that she favours ponytails and that’s what she chose for her amazing look. She wore a green dress with a waist-high slit and accessorized with gold earrings and shoes.

4. Mike Edwards:

Ever since Mike signed his new ambassadorship deal, he has been killing it with his looks on Instagram.

The cruisetopia president looked so good in so many posts this week that we had a hard time deciding which post to share with you.

Even his fans have warned Ebuka, who is known for his impeccable style (and is also on this list) to watch out for his title of ‘Most Stylish’.

Mike stunned this week in this green shirt and trouser set. He looks so much like a Yoruba man here that he acknowledged it with his caption.

5. Tacha Akide:

BBnaija’s Tacha, fresh off the launch of her foundation, is serving looks which double as valentine’s day inspiration.

She shared a photo of herself in a sparkly gold dress, looking too beautiful for words.

“A GOLDEN state of mind” she captioned it. Who wouldn’t be, in that dress?

6. Mawuli Gavor:

Hold on to your seats ladies and gentlemen, because Mawuli Gavor and Orange Culture are bringing you another spin on the standard suits you’re used to.

Ever seen a suit with a cape? Well, Mawuli Gavor invites you to take a look at his gold and black suit complete with a cape, and a hat, and gold and black spiky shoes.

We have a feeling that he’s on the right side of history with this look.

7. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu:

While the fans of Big Brother Nigeria’s Mike Edwards think he is coming for Ebuka’s position as most stylish, Ebuka is pushing back.

He wore the stunning suit to Davido’s brother Adewale’s wedding to his sweetheart, Kani. This look is simple, sweet and so gorgeous.

8. Mercy Eke:

BBN winner, Mercy Eke spends most of her time flexing, at least on the gram.

While she was in the house, she earned the nickname Lamborghini (given to her by Mike) for her sizeable derriere.

Now, she and her fans have owned it and she flaunts it everwhere, calling herself, “Lambo” and “The Queen of Highlights”.

Well, the queen of highlights is always a mood and this post is not any different.
