As the protests against the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) continue in Nigeria, major events are being called off.

One of these is the fact that international superstar, Wizkid has postponed the release of his long-awaited album, ‘Made in Lagos’.

On 16 September 2020, Wizkid had tweeted: “MADE IN LAGOS! SOON COME.”

However, almost a month later on 13 October 2020, a fan asked Wizkid if the album will still be released and he replied: “Not yet !! Mad times!!”

Protests continue to gain momentum as Nigerians reject the halfhearted attempts by the Government to satisfy demands.

Wizkid has been a very vocal part of the movement and was one of the first celebrities to speak out against the Government and ask for change.

He was also part of the #EndSARS protest in London, where fans said that he calmed an increasingly unsettled crowd at the British Council.

He has released the songs, ‘Smile’ featuring H.E.R and ‘No Stress’ from the album.
