In the early hours of Sunday, 11October 2020, popular singer David Adeleke, who is popularly known as Davido, rescued some youths from being extorted by police officers.
It was gathered that the police officers unlawfully profiled the youths. They jumped into their car and started manhandling them.
The law enforcement officers were said to have asked for a ridiculous amount of money from them and as luck will have it, Davido was nearby, so he came to their rescue.
On his intervention, the policemen left the guys and Davido asked them to follow his convoy as they left the scene.
One of the arrested youths with the handle @mbaise1stborn shared a video from the scene on his Twitter page.
He tweets: “OBO saved us tonight from the hands of SARS officers on the island @davido #EndSARS.”
