Runtown was a heavily involved in the #EndSARS movement leading protesters out to march a couple of time and he has continued in that stead. The singer released a brand new single titled “If E Happen For Lagos” to tackle societal issues plaguing the nation.
“If E Happen For Lagos” was released on 24 December 2020, a day before Christmas, and Segun Michael Ajayi aka Mystro produced the track.
Runtown lyrics read thus: “If you don’t know a wealthy man, you know no one. If you don’t remain watchful, you’ll experience the worse things. If you haven’t partied in Lagos, you’ve done nothing. Government is trouble. They do nothing,”
“That’s how we walk all over searching for the answers. If you ask me, who am I going to ask? The same reason what teh rich are getting richer while teh poor are left to suffer. If it happens in Lagos, let it remain in Lagos.”
The singer and songwriter went all in on “If E Happen For Lagos” and draws attention to the reality of the everyday Nigeria.
