Donald Trump set to launch social media platform

According to Gizmodo, the embattled former president of the united states of America, Donald Trump, is returning to social media with his own platform.

In an interview with Fox News, senior Trump advisor Jason Miller claimed the platform could go live in the next two or three months.

“This is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media, it’s going to completely redefine the game, and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does,” he said.

According to Miller, Trump has been approached by “numerous companies” regarding the venture and has been having “high-powered meetings” with several teams at his Mar-a-Lago resort, although he refused to give specifics, Miller, however, stated that the platform is going to be big because he believes that it will attract “tens of millions of people.”

He declined to go into detail when asked whether Trump is going to create the platform himself or work with another company to build it. He said: “I think the president does know what direction he wants to head here and this new platform is going to be big and everyone wants him, he’s gonna bring millions and millions, tens of millions of people to this new platform”

In January 2021, Donald Trump had a suspension party with various social media giants as they all suspended the embattled former President of the United States, Donald Trump, from posting on their platform.

Initially, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter had temporarily suspended US President Donald Trump from their social media platforms following posts related to the Capitol invasion on Wednesday, 6 January 2020.

Twitter’s decision to suspend the account permanently was followed by two tweets by Trump on Friday afternoon that ended up being his last at that time.

The tweets violated the company’s policy against the glorification of violence, Twitter said, and “these two Tweets must be read in the context of broader events in the country and the ways in which the President’s statements can be mobilized by different audiences, including to incite violence, as well as in the context of the pattern of behaviour from this account in recent weeks.”
