Don Jazzy is influencing positively as Davido considers quitting smoking.
We think so because the artist shared a Marlboro cigarette packet this morning on his Insta stories with the words, “Quitting Soon” splashed across.
This comes after Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, celebrated one year of quitting smoking.
Sharing the feel-good news last night on Twitter, Don Jazzy, whose given name is Michael Collins Ajereh, tells his Twitter followers: “Today makes it one year since I quit smoking. Clap for me pls hehe.”
The news was, of course, well-received by fans, many of who congratulated and asked him how he was able to achieve the feat.
“I just stopped like that o. Cold turkey. Tho I started overeating sha. After like 2 months you will be aiight.” says he to an inquiry by a fan.
The singer was also quick to confirm that he didn’t dabble in marijuana but only cigarettes.
Meanwhile, Don Jazzy’s post has encouraged some of his followers to share their own testimony of quitting smoking and/drinking. While some see his post as positive encouragement to quit.
And Davido seems to fall into that category although the singer did not mention Don Jazzy by name. However, we couldn’t help but think that the timing of Davido’s Insta story supports the narrative that he’s been influenced by Don Jazzy.
So we’re almost certain that if Davido could jump on the bus, more people will be encouraged to kick out the habit.
