The human body is composed of many elements and one of the lesser known elements is actually gold.

According to the website, Today India, an average person who weighs 70 kilograms would contain a total mass of 0.2 milligrams of gold which is equivalent to 0.000000003%.

Most of this gold is found in the blood, concentrated in the regions around your heart. The gold specks are responsible for transduction of electrical signals across the body organs, muscles and other tissues. They also maintain and keep joints strong and flexible.
