Did you know? The body has 2.5 million sweat pores

Perspiration is the body’s way of cooling down (physically and emotionally).

Sweat is a clear, odourless solution secreted by sweat glands, it consists primarily of water and electrolytes.

There are more than 2.5 million (up to 4 million for some people) sweat pores spread out all over the dermis layer of the average person’s skin. A sweat gland consists of a long, coiled tube of cells. The coil is actually sweating ducts connecting the gland to the pore or hair follicle on the skin’s surface.

There are also nerve cells from the sympathetic nervous system that connect your nervous system to the sweat glands. That’s why both being nervous, or being hot can make you sweat.
