Updated: Did Timi Dakolo just lose his dad?

Popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has come on Instagram to post a farewell message to a “sir”, could it be that he had lost his dad?

The star singer, a few days ago, hinted that he just might have something cooking with popular singer Cohbams Asuquo after they both uploaded pictures of themselves in Cohbam’s studio.

“Thank you for teaching me the importance of repetition. Thank you, sir. We would miss you”

Now, he has taken to his Instagram page to bid farewell to a man that he obviously learned a lot from. And from his post, the man could be his dad.

The star singer didn’t post a picture of a person, only a picture quote and captions it: “Thank you for the music you played for us while growing up, The reading listens, The Christmas clothes, the flogging, the go and face the wall, the one new word every day, the go and bring your books, the evening lessons, the show me your fingernails and your teeth and many more. Thank you for teaching me the importance of repetition.Thank you sir. We would miss you.”

So, it seems Timi Dakolo just lost his father. Was he a teacher?

Update 28 February 2020: Timi took to his Instagram to make it clear that he has not lost father.

His words: “You people should try and leave me alone.. my father is alive and doing well. I wonder how you people come up with all this information. I didn’t say anything about my father being dead. A simple investigation would do the world much good.”
