The 27-year-old spoke about her experiences since the overdose and about how much stronger she is now. She spoke about it at the Teen Vogue Summit in Los Angeles.
While speaking to her fans, she said: “Life is not worth living unless you’re living it for yourself. If you’re doing things for other people it’s not going to work out. I wouldn’t change the direction of my life for anything. I would never regret anything. I love the person that I am today.”
She also admitted that she is very sensitive, so the negative comments she hears about herself affects her deeply. But she revealed that she is learning to develop her own ‘sense’ and cope with negativity better.
While speaking about her fear and insecurities, she said: “We hear the terms ‘body positivity’ all the time but to be honest, I don’t always feel positive about my body. Sometimes I look in the mirror and I’m like, ‘Oh I do not like what I see.’ But in those moments, I don’t sit there and dwell on it. I also don’t lie to myself.”
