Watford’s Troy Deeney has explained why he hates coming up against Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live’s The Monday Night Club, the 30-year-old did not hold back any information.

“I’ve said it many times, I hate him,” he said.

“I hate going up against him.

“He’s too big, too strong, too quick, too good on the ball, loves fighting, a good head of hair.”

“One of those guys that spray on his top as well, so it smells lovely! When he runs past you, it’s like ‘I can’t catch you, but….”

Deeney is set to face the Liverpool man on the 24th of November but is obviously not looking forward to the clash after his side’s 5-0 thrashing at Anfield in March.
