Kevin de Bruyne has revealed that he was running out of patience with Mourinho while playing for Chelsea.
The Belgian midfielder who has become one of the best players in the world did not get a lot of playing time under Mourinho who once publicly criticized him.
Mourinho said at the time: “I try to be honest with Kevin.
“He’s not selected because I didn’t like the match he played against Swindon and I didn’t like the way he was training.”
De Bruyne has now explained his situation with Mourinho in City’s new “all or nothing” documentary:
“I was only 20 years old when I decided to sign for Chelsea, and I got my chances in the first few games and I thought, okay, things are going well, I play okay, we won the games.

“But then one day it stopped. Knowing me, I didn’t have a lot of patience at the time, I decided to go in January.”
His current coach, Guardiola, has nothing but praises for the 27-year-old, as he said recently:
“Kevin is a top player, shy - he doesn’t talk too much - but the pitch is completely different.
“He is a competitor, physically so strong. He can do everything - he doesn’t feel the pressure.
“Now he is one of our captains and he deserves it because he takes a lot of responsibility on the pitch.”
