Davido had taken to social media many times to announce that his concert at the 20,000 capacity hall was a sold-out, a feat so far achieved by one other Nigerian singer – Wizkid.
Fans had started to wonder if his claims were genuine as some people noticed empty seats at the venue. This was strengthened by reports from a UK website which reported the concert as nearly sold out.
In a move apparently calculated to put paid to speculations, Davido has taken to his social media to share screenshots from an email conversation between someone called Ola and the managers of the 02 Arena, which appears to confirm that the venue was indeed sold out.
He captions the picture thus: “Our People and amebo ….. MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NEXT“, hinting he would be performing at the Madison Square Garden next.
