The Fall crooner turned 25 today!
Bursting into the music stage with Dami Duro that should have served as a kind of warning for what was to come, David Aleke has proved himself far beyond anyone’s expectations as he has risen above the discrimination that surrounds the ‘Silver spoon child’. Davido never took the foot off the gas pedal since 2011.
He co-owned HKN record label with his elder brother, Adewale Adeleke.
In 2013, he partnered with Guinness Nigeria for the Guinness World of More concert. Though he was born in Atlanta, Georgia, he has owned the Yoruba language and his debut album Omo Baba Olowo has become his most popular alias.
From Gobe to Skelewu and Aye, he showed his talent for mixing Afro with Soul. The Sound and The Money put him undoubtedly in the Club Bangers Hall of Fame.
He announced a deal with Sony Music in 2016 and started his own record label Davido Music Worldwide.
