Vasquez was however spared a jail sentence for the crime and the case against him was dismissed after he completed the terms of a plea deal which included taking classes and paying a fine.
The girlfriend who is the victims of the violence has refused to press charges and in fact, is now engaged to Danry.
Vasquez was a player for the Corpus Christi Hooks at the time of the incident. He was released by the Astros and suspended indefinitely by Major League Baseball when he was arrested.
