Ronaldo added another screamer to his collection of goals as three fantastic strikes ensured a dominant 3-1 Serie A victory over Genoa at the Marassi on Tuesday evening.
The three goals came in the second half, where Dybala, Ronaldo, and Douglas Costa all found the back of the net in spectacular fashions.
With the ‘Old Lady’ chasing a record-extending ninth straight Serie A title, the victory restored Juventus’s four-point lead over Lazio, who won 2-1 at Torino earlier on Tuesday.
Juventus, since losing the Italian Cup final to Napoli in a penalty shootout, has won all three of their league games since the restart.
The first efforts of the game came through a series of long rangers, where Bernardeschi and Ronaldo both attempted efforts from range, which saw Perin push away the Portuguese’s effort.
A penalty appeal was also waved away as defender Mathias de Ligt went down in the box before a big chance fell to Rabiot just after the half-hour mark.
Ronaldo then threatened again with a powerful effort from a tight angle, that saw Perin parry it away from the goal to keep the scoreline level as the teams went into the break.
It took just five minutes after the restart for Juventus to break the deadlock in the second half. Juan Cuadrado fed the ball through to Dybala, who was on the edge of the box. He subsequently burst in, dribbled past two defenders and fired in on his left foot to leave Perin rooted to the spot.
Six minutes later, Ronaldo turned the scoreline to 2-0, scoring his 24th goal of the season. He is just one goal away from becoming the first Juventus player to reach the 25-goal mark since Omar Sivori in 1960-61 with a sublime solo effort.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner gathered a pass near midfield, charged toward the goal, and unleashed a thunder strike from 22 yards into the top corner past the outstretched Perin.
Substitute Douglas Costa made it 3-0 with a curler, a shot from beyond the area inside the far post as Genoa’s defence looked on helplessly, with Andrea Pinamonti effort from a tight angle a mere consolation.
Juventus now have 72 points, four more than second-place Lazio, who beat Torino 2-0.
