Breaking! Nigeria records 87 new cases of Coronvirus; total cases hit 1,182

The COVID-19 pandemic infection, which is popularly known as Coronavirus recently surpassed the 1000 mark on Friday in Nigeria.

Now, 87 new cases of the pandemic have been recorded, taking the total number to 1,182.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed that the 87 new cases in nine states of the federation.

The NCDC said on its Twitter handle that 33 of the new infections were recorded in Lagos, 18 in Borno, 12 in Osun, 9 in Katsina, 4 in Kano and Ekiti respectively, 3 in Edo and Bauchi respectively, and 1 in Imo.

With the latest confirmation, the total number of current confirmed Coronavirus cases has now hit 1,182 with 35 deaths recorded while 222 have recovered.
