Speaking as a panelist at the Nigerian Entertainment Conference held on the 25th of April 2018, Lasisi Elenu stated that he didn’t need any mentor to become the brand that he is today, he just saw an opportunity and he took it.
”I didn’t have to go through a certain channel to become who I am. We are a new generation, new media has given someone like me hope.
“I didn’t have to have someone sign me to a record label. I saw an opportunity and I took it. Snapchat has been there for a while but being able to seize an opportunity gave me an edge over a lot of people out there.
“A lot still has to be done, understanding where the future is headed”.
