According to People, Cicely will be the first black woman ever to receive an Oscar in an honorary category at the upcoming Governors Awards.
The 93-year-old, who was nominated for a statuette once before in 1973 for her performance in Sounder, has also been awarded a Tony, two Emmys, and a Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama.
She’ll be recognized alongside publicist Marvin Levy and composer Lalo Schifrin.
