Not quite long ago, Nigerian singer Burna Boy claimed to have written five songs for Drake’s 2017 mixtape, More Life, and how the tracks ended up getting cut from the final product, well with an exception of one, which he said was almost unrecognisable.
But that was not all, the singer decried not being acknowledged and credit for writing a song that later broke the streaming charts on Billboard.
Naturally, Nigerians were indignant against what they perceived as an unfair treatment of one of their own. Well, now the singer is kinda backtracking saying: “I don’t even know why people are making it such a big deal. It’s a big deal for him to even reach out to me in the first place - that’s my big deal. It’s not that deep,” he tells Tim Westwood during a recent interview.

According to Burna Boy, Drake sent him a couple beats to work on for More Life, which he was happy to do.
“It’s his decision. I don’t even know if it’s only his because, obviously, there’s a big team around him“, he says, about the songs not making the cut.
End of.
