After missing his earlier announced July album release, Burna Boy has now announced a release date for his new album.

The album, named, ‘Twice as Tall’ is now set to be released on 14 August 2020. During an interview with the New York Times, Burna revealed a few more details about the album.

It includes 15 tracks featuring international acts such as Sauti Sol, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Naughty by Nature, and Youssou N’Dour. Sean Combs a.k.a. Diddy, Anderson Paak and Timbaland are also credited with producing some songs on the album.

The African Giant, who was nominated for a Grammy award at the 2019 Grammy Awards show, made the announcement with a video including clips of himself in the video.

In one clip, he can be seen on a video call with Diddy, who is telling Burna that he can’t wait for the world to open back up. Whether this is an indication that Diddy is on the album remains to be seen.

What is certain, however, is the fact that Diddy is on the album in some form. He is the executive producer, according to an article by The New York Times.

Diddy has called the album “a modern but pure, unapologetic African body of work.”
