Breaking! President Buhari's personal bodyguard is dead

One of President Muhammadu Buhari’s bodyguards, Warrant Officer Lawal Mato, on Tuesday, h died. passed away.

The bodyguard died following three years of struggling with diabetes, presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, announced in a now- taken down tweet.

This comes after the president’s chief of staff, Abba Kyari, died from Coronavirus related complications.

However, Mr Bashir Ahmed, another aide to the president took to his Twitter handle to Tweet, “After three years of struggling with diabetes, one of President @MBuhari’s personal bodyguards, Warrant Officer, Lawal Mato has passed away, earlier today. Mr. Mato had been working with the President for many years before he won the 2015 elections.

“President @MBuhari describes WO Mato as very thorough, trustworthy and dependable soldier who carried out his duty with diligence and focus,” and prayed that Allah will ease his passage to paradise and grant his family, govt and people of Jigawa the fortitude to bear the loss.’
