Arsenal vs West Ham United
Arsenal’s 100 percent record in the new Premier League campaign stays intact after Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to score a late winner in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over West Ham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday Night.
The Hammers were a much-improved side compared to the one that lost to Newcastle on the opening day. They showed exactly what to expect from a London Derby producing, a display packed full of endeavour and energy to stifle the Gunners for large parts.
Arsenal’s lead came in the 25th minute against a run of play when Alexandre Lacazette headed a powerful shot past Fabianski from a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s cross. However, Michail Antonio restored parity on the stroke of half-time.
The Hammers were pretty much the better team after the restart and looked set to go on to win the game, but Nketiah struck with five minutes remaining to make it two wins from two for the Gunners and leave West Ham pointless.

Mikel Arteta after the match says “I am really happy with the three points, but we have a lot to analyse because there were a lot of issues we created for ourselves in many moments. We have to improve many things.
“Yes [we got away with one], but we created many chances to win the game and we conceded too many chances that were our fault.
“What I liked was the approach from the boys, they lifted up in the final 25 minutes, a few months we would have drawn or lost that game. In the end, you have to find a way because we are going to have games like this through the season.”
