Released on the 14th of December, the film, which stars Jason Momoa as the titular character, has grossed over $887 million worldwide.
It defeated Batman vs Superman which was released in 2016 and earned $873 million.
It is unlikely though, that the movie will defeat The Dark Night Rises’ $1.085 billion earnings, which focuses on Batman but is not part of the Extended Universe.
