The 13-man International Jury of the All Africa Music Awards, on Wednesday, arrived in Lagos, ahead of a weeklong adjudication process.

Following the close of music entries where 8,009 songs and videos were received for the fifth edition of the event, the jury’s responsibility would involve screening, categorising, assessing, grading and selecting nominees into the 38 different regional and continental categories.

Bringing their span of experience and professionalism to play, the jurors have promised to work with fairness and transparency.

On the jury are veterans in the music industry – vocal coach Joett from Eastern Africa; musician Tabu Osusa from Kenya; music executive, Charles Tabu from Central Africa; music programmer Omar Essaidi from Northern Africa, among others.
