She is Akpene Diata Hoggar who represented the Brong Ahafo region. She is a model, blogger, and an entrepreneur who also aspires to become a global change agent. The runner-up is Vanessa Tekoh Akuetteh who is a model and a budding paralegal.
Sean Guy, Shirley Frimpong Manso, Yvonne Nelson, Miss Reykjavik (Miss Universe Iceland), Manuela Osk (Miss Universe 2003 contestant), and Emmanuel Kojo-Jones Mensah were all judges at the event.
Diata will represent Ghana at the Miss Universe Beauty pageant which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on December 17, 2018.
