Akon defends his hero, Bill Cosby

In the wake of his sexual assault conviction, Bill Cosby has found an unlikely sympathizer in Akon.

Comedian and actor, Bill Cosby, has been convicted of 3 counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and molesting women. Cosby could get up to 10 years in prison on each of the counts.

Over the years, dozens of women have come forward to say Cosby drugged and assaulted them. 5 of his accusers testified against him at the retrial.

In a talk with TMZ at LAX, Akon defended his childhood hero, Bill Cosby. When Akon was informed that Cosby had been convicted, he replied: “A lot of people been convicted who are innocent. In situations like this, I don’t know.

“I’ve already been painted a picture of Bill Crosby, he’s a hero to me. It’s hard to flip that around.

“I wasn’t there at the trial, whatever was revealed – these allegations from 30/40 years ago. The truth is always a great thing to me.”

He ended the conversation by noting, “If the law doesn’t catch you, karma will eventually.”
