D’Tigers produced an impressive display as they are known to do and beat Cameroon in their quarter final encounter in the AfroBasket tournament.

The game had looked to be made for the Nigerian senior men’s basketball team as soon as the first throw, the defending champions ran through their opponents in Tunis and with the end of the first quarter they had 25 points to Cameroon’s 18.

Only in the third quarter did Cameroon look to wake up and they won that round by four points difference, reaping off 27 points and Nigeria having 23.

But never one to back down, D’Tigers upped their game and put dunks after dunks and the Cameroonians knew it was not a game they could win as the final quarter ended 31-21 in favor of Nigeria.

Now they face an inspired Senegalese team in the semifinals who have been dubbed giant slayers after the beat favorites Angola in their bid to retain the crown.
