Popular Nigerian actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, who is married to popular musician Banky W, has taken to her Instagram page to show off a letter she got from the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on International Women’s Day (IWD).
It was International Women’s Day a few days ago and many celebrities celebrated one another or the women in their lives.
Apparently, the governor of Lagos state wasn’t left out as he took out time to celebrate exceptional women in Lagos State.
The Office of the Governor sent out appreciatory letters to the women who were thought to be making a difference in the state and Adesua Etomi got one of those.
The excited actress couldn’t hide her joy as she took to her Instagram page to make the announcement.
“I have always thought of myself as the girl who just focuses on the work. Not paying attention to if anyone is watching or not. Drowning out all the noise. As time has gone on, as the most incredible things have happened to me, I remind myself to keep being that girl. The one who just wants to act and do it to the best of her ability. The one who just wants to leave a legacy. That hasn’t changed.
