The royal biographer and I’m A Celeb star, 69, appeared on Good Morning Britain with Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell, 60, to discuss the royal baby news. When asked what she thought of Meghan, 37, Lady Campbell said she used to think highly of her, but not anymore.
She tells the programme:
“I think less of Meghan now than I did initially. I think the way she treated her family is appalling. I hope for her sake and the sake of the monarchy that she begins to embrace them a little more.”
Host Piers Morgan also piped in, saying he has also experienced being “cut off” by the Duchess of Sussex.
“For a year and a half I got on really well with her then suddenly she cut me off,” Morgan says. “There does seem to be a trait with Meghan, if someone is a problem potentially for some kind of aspirational thing, they get cut.”
Lady Colin Campbell then added that a classical trait of narcissism is “adoration, discount and discard”.
But Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, who has repeatedly hit the headlines over the years for his claims about the Princess of Wales, said he thinks Meghan is a “breath of fresh air”.
