Nigerian filmmaker Abba Makama was at the pre-screening of The Lost Okoroshi at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2019.

His film, The Lost Okoroshi, made its world premiere as part of TIFF’s Discovery program.
The film tells the story of Raymond (Seun Ajayi), a security guard (and something of a layabout) whose main preoccupations are checking out women and figuring out how to escape the bustle of Lagos in favour of the more relaxed countryside. That was until he was visited by his ancestor’s spirits and was transformed into a traditional masquerade.
