Although the show ended a little over six years ago, CW president Mark Pedowitz has hinted that it may be coming back to the big screen.
According to Teen Vogue, while Pedowitz was at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, he said:
“There’s a discussion, but I don’t know if we’re there yet.
“I don’t know what it would be. A lot is up to Warner Bros. and [exec producers] Josh [Schwartz] and Steph[anie Savage], ’cause you don’t want to do anything without them.”
Reboots have been in talks for quite a while with lead actors Blake Lively and Leighton Meester who both plays Serena Van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf respectively saying that they wouldn’t rule out the chance to star in one.
