Veteran actor and comedian, Moses Adejumo Olaiya, popularly known as Baba Sala died yesterday October 7, 2018.

#2. The late dramatist is shy off stage. In an interview with News Telegraph his son, Emmanuel Adejumo, said: “My daddy is somebody who is very shy off stage, but when he is on stage, he is something else.”

#3. The late actor was regarded as the father of modern Nigerian comedy, alongside other dramatists like Hubert Ogunde, Kola Ogunmola, Oyin Adejobi and Duro Ladipo. These people popularised theatre and television acting in Nigeria.
#4. In 2017, a book titled Triumph of destiny was published in honour of the late actor. The book was written by Collins Oyedokun, Akinola Babatunde and Kunle Ajani.
#5. In 2017, the late actor solicited for financial support from well-meaning Nigerians for his health. At that time, he was suffering from a stroke.
