Nigerian-born Uchenna Echeazu lands a role in Atlanta tv series Season 2

Nigerian-born actor Uchenna Echeazu also known as Conphidance is set to appear in the third episode of Atlanta’s second season, in an episode titled Money Bag Shawty.

The actor will be on the screen alongside Donald Glover, Brian Tyree Henry and Lakeith Stanfield. Echeazu has previously featured in shows such as shows like American Gods, The Originals and Good Behaviour.

As a side note, Conphidance isn’t the only one with a Nigerian background to have been involved in the award-winning tv series. The show also boasts two Nigerian-Americans, Taofik Kolade and Jamal Olori have both written episodes for the series. Taofik Kolade is credited as the writer of the fourth episode of Season two.

Episode three, Season two in which Echeau is featuring is written by the tv series creator, Danny Glover. The episode will air on 15th March.  Conphidance will be playing the owner of a strip club – in which most of the episode is set to take place. And from what we could gather from the synopsis, he will be “making money, but he’s still broke, and the whole city runs in stunting.”

For those who might be wondering what the series is about, Atlanta is an American comedy-drama television that follows two cousins navigating their way in the Atlanta rap scene in an effort to improve their lives and the lives of their families. It first aired in September 2016. The second season, titled Atlanta: Robbin’ Season, premiered on March 1, 2018.
