On Day 3 of their first official trip as a family to Africa, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, introduced their little boy Archie to Archbishop Desmond Tutu in Cape Town, South Africa.

Thank you, Archbishop Tutu, for your incredibly warm hospitality, Archie loved meeting you!” write The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Instagram alongside a black and white of the archbishop dropping a kiss on Archie’s forehead.

The visit makes Archie, who was born on 6th May 2019, the youngest royal to go on an official tour beating the record set by his cousin Prince George who at only eight months travelled with his parents, Prince Williams and Kate Middleton – the Duchess of Cambridge – to Australia in 2014.

An earlier post shared on Prince Harry and Meghan’s Instagram provides more details on the visits. It reads:

This morning The Duke and Duchess were honoured to introduce their son, Archie, to Archbishop, Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka.

The Archbishop, a globally respected figure in anti-apartheid movement, is one of the world’s great champions of equality, and has spent his life tirelessly battling injustice.

Their Royal Highnesses have joined The Archbishop and Thandeka to learn more about the work of The Tutu and Leah Legacy Foundation, and see first-hand how they are focussing on global awareness of the critical issues affecting the world.
