Nigerian Super Eagles jersey makes it to FIFA museum

The Nigerian Super Eagles jersey was among the most talked about events at the recently concluded World Cup.

It was talked about almost as much as the team’s performance which saw the Super Eagles beat Iceland and suffer a defeat to Argentina after which they crashed out of the World Cup. FIFA has now honoured the team’s performance at the competition by including the jersey worn by Mikel Obi in the FIFA museum.

They announced it in a statement on their social media page. According to them:

“Argentina couldn’t claim three points against hardy newcomers, Iceland, but the @NG_Supereagles did – and they did it in style
.
The jersey worn by @Mikel_John_Obi at Nigeria’s 2-0 victory at the Volgograd Arena at the 2018 World Cup has been added to the FIFA Museum collection
