Quavo takes back Bentley gift from Saweetie – Twitter reacts

After their public break up, Quavo has allegedly taken back the Bentley gift he gave Saweetie last Christmas. The news comes from MTO (Media Take Out), a blog-style gossip website mainly focused on entertainment and celebrity news involving African Americans.

The blog claims to have gotten the scoop from someone close to the Migos group member. But how did the rapper get back a car gift?

“Quavo’s no dummy – the Bentley wasn’t in her name,” the source says. The $350,000 2021 car was leased in his name and not Saweetie’s and the lease also had an interesting clause;

Quavo could end the lease early for a fee and the dealer would then repossess the car and free him from the contract. As it appears, that is what the superstar has done. Since he had not gone to collect the car by himself, the media have suggested that a repo man had been involved. Repo men can enter your property to seize your vehicle in most US states as long as they do not breach the peace. They are only not allowed to use physical force or threats, break into a locked garage or another storage facility.

Meanwhile, the source defended his decision, saying; “He’s not being petty or anything, but she’s on Twitter talking sh*t. So he took back the car.” 

The Bentley was an early Christmas gift that Quavo got Saweetie in December 2020. It was customised with metal snowflakes on the exterior and “Icy” prints on its headrests. Saweetie had reacted excitedly to the gift and shared a clip of herself screaming, “Oh my God! My heart is beating so fast.”

Quavo has not confirmed that he collected back his Bentley gift and his last couple of tweets about the break up have just been him claiming that he is not bitter about it.

Meanwhile, Saweetie herself had hinted that the Bentley gift was not enough to keep her in the relationship, “presents don’t band aid scars,” she had tweeted.
