In 2016, Mavin Records released and promoted the “Spotlight” album by one of its finest recruits, Reekado Banks. The “Spotlight” album was released on the 1st of September 2016 and it debuted at number 10 on the Billboard World Albums chart.

Reekado Banks was a hotshot in the Mavin dynasty then and he was able to attract the likes of Sarkodie, Vanessa Mdee, Patoranking, Falz, DPrince, and Kenny Blaq to feature on the 21-track album.

Production credits of the “Spotlight” album go to Don Jazzy, Babyfresh and Altims, who all did a spectacular job on the project.

“Spotlight” is a masterpiece; an amazing debut for the young man, who has built a fan base amongst the young and tech-savvy, backed by the powers of Don Jazzy and the oiled PR machinery that Mavin Records possess and wield to effect.
