After her recent collaboration with Nigeria’s Afrobeats giant Wizkid on “Essence”, Tems has undoubtedly attracted a lot of attention. And not just locally …

Justin Bieber’s contribution to the remix of the single mentioned above has likely furthered her fame on the international scene. In addition, she also got a feature on Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album in the track “Fountains”.

Thus, even music fans who didn’t know who she was before 2021 are now paying close attention to the Nigerian singer.

On the back of all these, Tems has announced a forthcoming EP and album slated for 2022. For now, what we have from the Alternative R&B singer is “Crazy Tings”.

In other related news, “Essence” was certified Gold in the US on 2 September 2021, after it sold an equivalent of 500,000 copies. Also, after Spotify released its list of top ten most streamed artists in Africa in August, Tems topped as the highest streamed African Artist (over 12 million monthly listeners).
