The D’Tigress’ feat at the World Cup in Spain has been nothing but mind-blowing as they became the first African team to win three games in a single Women’s World Cup and also crowning it by becoming the first African team to progress to the quarter-finals after beating Greece 57 – 56 in a nervy quarter-final qualification match on Wednesday.
The team is billed to face the USA on Friday. Aside from being the defending champions, the US national team have been ruthless so far, winning all their group matches, (USA 87 – 67 Senegal, China 88 – 100 USA and USA 102 – 76 Latvia).
