BBNaija’s Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha has declared that marriage is not a priority.
The reality star preached this in a series of posts on her Instagram story. According to her, there is a need for a change in our psychology and how much importance is placed on the marriage institution.
It is presumed that Tacha’s rant is related to the domestic violence story about Channels Tv reporter Pius Angbo, and his wife, Ifeanyinwa.
A couple of days ago, Ifeanyinwa, the wife of Nigerian reporter Pius Angbo who works for Channels tv, accused him of battery in a viral video.
In the viral video, she showed her battered face, and stated that her husband tried to strangle her, even though she just had a baby four weeks ago through caesarean section.
In the early hours of today, the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, reconciled the the couple.
In one of her posts, Tacha wrote, ”Stop pushing the narrative that women need this marriage thing more. It’s not a big deal. And I hate the fact we’ve been brainwashed over time. Marriage isn’t/should not be a priority, It is not a do/die affair!”
“There’s so much more to this life than 2 rings and 2 adults. I beg you! If it isn’t working, leave. The lame-a-s mentality needs to stop,” she continued
Tacha continued; “stop attaching too much importance to it”
