Breaking! Davido, Tiwa Savage and Mr Eazi make Billboard history

Three of Nigeria’s finest musicians, Davido, Tiwa Savage, and Mr Eazi have made it to Billboard’s latest cover.

According to Billboard, who took to their official Instagram page to make the announcement, the three stars will be speaking about how to make the industry come to them.

In reaction to this, an excited Davido took to his Instagram page to express his delight at the honour. He writes: “ I cover magazine I cover magazine !!! @billboard Cover with my sister @tiwasavage and brother @mreazi !!!….

“The forces that unite us are intrinsic and greater than the superimposed influences that keep us apart.” – Africa Must Unite! I DREAMT OF THIS SH*T!!”

A more subdued Mr Eazi also shared the news on his Instagram with the caption: “AFRICA NOW!!!! @billboard cover issue with my Brother & Sister @davidoofficial & @tiwasavage”

Reacting to the announcement, a proud Tiwa Savage writes: “I AM SO PROUD TO BE AN AFRICAN WOMAN RIGHT Cover of @billboard with my brothers @davidoofficial @mreazi #HISTORY.”

In a follow-up post, the 49-99 singer adds: “A lot of people in Africa still have the idea that a woman has to be submissive, stay at home and be the wife and mother. Don’t get me wrong. Those are great morals to keep. But I think the modern African woman, the modern black woman is being limited. We can do both.”
