American actress Angelina Jolie has shared her struggles and the reality of being a single mom in showbiz.
The actress has revealed that after she and Brad Pitt parted ways in 2016, she has taken on fewer projects than she usually would. She also said despite her love for directing, she hasn’t been able to direct for a few years since her family situation changed.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jolie said “I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so I kind of went back to doing a few acting jobs. That’s really the truth of it.”
She and her ex-husband Brad have joint custody of five out of their six children, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox, as their eldest son, Maddox, is now 18.
E! News also reported that the health and happiness of the kids are the major priority for the divorced couple, especially during the lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. The kids stay with Angelina and they see Brad during their regular visits.
