Angelina Jolie impressive form in “Those Who Wish Me Dead” builds anticipation for her “Eternals” performance
“Angelina Jolie understands the assignment”, and this is not just based on nostalgia as her impressive form in “Those Who Wish Me Dead” shows that she has still got it. When we finally get a hold of the official “Eternals” trailer, we will know what we are getting in November 2021.
For now, all we can say is that the 45-year-old Hollywood actress has not lost the drive, physicality and ability to kickass. A South China Morning Post review of Taylor Sheridan’s survival action thriller film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” heaps praise on Jolie’s performance.
The film is currently available in South Korea and international markets but will be released in the US on 14 May 2021.
Ever since her role as Lara Croft in “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”, Angelina Jolie has become one of the most iconic action stars in the film industry. To interpret the role, she had undergone extensive martial arts training and has since then continued to learn other fighting skills. While she uses stunt doubles for some dangerous stunts, she does most of her fighting scenes herself.
Her last action film outing as an FBI agent on the run in 2010’s “Salt” saw her train in Muay Thai and Krav Maga. British stuntman and stunt coordinator Simon Crane has praised her lack of fear of heights as one major attributes that make her easy to work with when other actors might be afraid to thread.
Up next is her role as the sword-swinging fierce warrior Thena in Marvel’s “Eternals” and you can be certain that she will totally kill it. You may also like to read our recent article Andrew Garfield fuels rumour of multiple Spider-Men in “No Way Home”
