Empire from the Fox network has been commissioned for a 5th season, even while the 4th is still airing.
The current show runner, Ilene Chaiken will be replaced by Brett Mahoney, as she is currently working on a series with Katie Holmes.
The series which is intrigue worthy of a soap opera with colorful characters has built a significant fan base over the years. And, despite declining number of audiences, Empire remains a top series for Fox network.
More so, the most basic family of the series remains the same featuring Terrence Howard as Lucious Lyon, Jussie Smollett as Jamal Lyon, Taraji P. Henson as Cookie Lyon, Bryshere Y. Gray as Hakeem Lyon and Trai Byers as Andre Lyon.
