The singer, 44, filed for divorce on Friday, 31st May in a Pasadena court. The once upon a time couple announced their split after eight years of marriage in a joint statement released in September 2017.
“With absolute love and respect, we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year. To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family” the duo said in the statement.
Duhamel and Fergie share a 5-year-old son, Axl. They began dating in 2004 before getting engaged in 2007 and tying the knot in early 2009.
