Tevez, 35 will be participating for the second time in Barcelona’s trophy match against Boca Juniors having scored at the last one in 2003.
Messi will, however, be participating for the first time, having been away with Argentina at the Olympics when the last one took place.
Tevez says that he is very happy to play alongside or against his fellow countryman and welcomes the competition.
“It’ll be nice to see him again. To play against Messi or alongside him always makes me happy. I’m happy to enjoy his abilities, to see him up close,” he says.
