Sunday’s action saw two of Serie A‘s biggest teams AC Milan and Napoli each pull off wins away from home.
AC Milan continued their dominant start to the season with yet another win against Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria – on Sunday night to establish a five-point advantage at the summit of the Italian top-flight.
Stefano Pioli’s side, who were without talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic, took the lead through Ivory Coast International Franck Kessie who held his nerves to convert calmly from the penalty spot, to put the away team ahead in first-half stoppage time.
Samu Castillejo then doubled Milan’s lead with full-time fast approaching, before Albin Ekdal snatched one back for Sampdoria five minutes later, but it was only but a consolation as Rossoneri made their way back to Milan with all three points in the bag.
The 1-2 scoreline wasn’t a true reflection of the game as it wasn’t quite as close.
It was only their second (out of eight) wins this season by a single-goal margin.
With 10 games into the season, it seems too early to regard AC Milan as contenders for the Scudetto but Pioli’s team looks better than they have in the past several seasons.
Crotone 0-4 Napoli: Osimhen still out but Napoli strolls to win

Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen was not involved as Napoli recorded Serie A‘s biggest win this weekend after defeating 10-man Crotone away from home.
