See the adorable moment this award winner proposed to his girlfriend at #Emmys2018

Weiss won the award for Directing for a Variety Special and popped the question to his girlfriend on live television after winning an Emmy.

In his emotional speech: “Jan, you are the sunshine in my life, and mom was right, don’t ever let go of your sunshine,” the director said.

“You wonder why I don’t like to call you my girlfriend? Because I want to call you my wife.”

When she arrived on stage, Weiss got down on one knee and gave her the engagement ring that belonged to his mother, who recently passed away.

“I want to put this ring that my mom wore on your finger in front of all these people and in front of my mom and your parents watching from above. Will you marry me?” he asked. She said yes.
