Following the news that Burnaboy will be performing at Africa Unite, the anti-xenophobia themed concert which will hold in South Africa, many South Africans took to social media to voice their displeasure.
Leading the charge was the South African rapper, AKA.
He shared a number of tweets, including one in which he demanded an apology from Burnaboy for his previous tweets during the latest xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
“Ek se …@burnaboy all we want is an apology,” he wrote. “We know *South Africa is not perfect. But we took you in as our own before you reached these levels. You say you are an AFRICAN GIANT, prove it.”
